Georgia Governor Declares September To Be Subluxation Awareness Month

On September 23, 2014, Georgia Governor Nathan Deal presented a proclamation to members of the Georgia Council of Chiropractic declaring September to be Subluxation Awareness Month. This marks the fourth time Governor Deal has issued this public awareness safety proclamation.
Governor Deal was the first elected official to bring this issue to the public consciousness at this level. Dr. Awais Butt, president of the Georgia Council of Chiropractic, commented, "We are all very proud of our governor taking this bold step to help inform the citizens of this state about the benefits of having a nervous system free of interference from Subluxation."
Dr. Robert Braile, past GCC president added, "It is our hope that other elected officials will follow suit and also bring this health issue before their constituents." He said, "This could be one of the more impactful events in healthcare due to the large numbers of the population affected by subluxation."
